Our History

In 2020 some of our brothers came across families having difficulties in meeting the cost of burying their loved ones. There were times when a call for financial support rang out and as Muslims we all contributed to meeting their needs.
These experiences led some of our brothers to get together and look at how we could overcome this. The initial aim is to reduced the cost but the question was how could this be done.

We came to the conclusion that as in the past when we as individuals contributed to the costs for those who could not afford it we realised that the same principle can be applied and if we all contributed as a Ummah then these costs become manageable.

On 16 March 2020, SA Muslim Funeral Services Limited was registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) with its primary objective of reducing the cost through membership contributions.

“And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter – that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew. “
